报告题目：Data Science: Innovation and Practice
内容摘要：
Data analysis has been explored from different disciplinary perspectives for decades; however, most of existing analytical and learning systems have been built on assuming that data is independent and identically distributed (IID). In the era of data science and analytics when non-IID data complexities cannot be simplified, little attention has been paid to the potential issues in the results generated by applying existing IID learning theories and tools, which may be incomplete, misleading or incorrect. A foundational issue in data science and analytics is to understand the non-IIDness of data, business and behaviour, while limited knowledge is available in the literature. This talk briefly reviews the issues of existing IID learning systems, followed by the concepts, fundamentals and examples of non-IID learning. The second part of the talk presents a summary of enterprise analytics practices of the speaker’s team, involving diversified domains. Lastly, several global data science initiatives are introduced to conclude the talk.
报告人简介：
操龙兵，“复杂系统与智能科学”和“计算科学”方向双博士学位，澳大利亚悉尼科技大学教授、先进分析研究所创所所长。悉尼科技大学量子计算与智能系统研究中心数据科学与知识发现实验室主任、澳洲资本市场联合研究中心（CMCRC）数据挖掘方向研究带头人。IEEE计算机分会高级会员。国际上关于智能体与数据挖掘集成研究以及领域数据挖掘的发起人与主要组织者之一，担任IEEE数据科学与先进分析学专委主席，IEEE数据科学与先进分析学大会发起人，IEEE行为、经济与社会文化计算专委主席，ACM SIGKDD澳新分会主席。
